Main Board ဟာ Computer တစ်ခုလုံးရဲကအဓိကကျ System Circuit Board ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။Computer ရဲ့ အစိတ်အပိုင်းအားလုံးကို Board ပေါ်မှာတပ်ဆင်ရတဲ့အတွက် Motherboard လို့ခေါ် ပါတယ်။CPU ၊ Main Memory(RAM) နဲ့အခြား Connector တွေကို Motherboard ပေါ်မှာဘဲဆက် သွယ်ရတာဖြစ်ပါတယ်/ Disk Drive တွေဖြစ်တဲ့ Compack Disk ၊ Hard Disk ၊ Solid-state Drive (SSD) တွေကို လည်း Motherboard ပေါ်မှာဘဲ ဆက်သွယ်ရတာဖြစ်ပါတယ်။Motherboard တွေမှာ သုံးစွဲမယ့်h CPU ရဲ့ အမြန်နှုန်း ( Speed ) ပေါ်မူတည်ပြီး ရွေးချယ်ရတယ်။ ဒီအပြင် COM Port, Parallal Port ၊ Sound ၊ VGA ၊ NIC ၊ USB ပါတာတွေက သုံးမယ့် လုပ်ငန်းအပေါ် အခြေခံ ပြီးရွေးချယ်ရတယ်။Graphic Design, Video Editing, Game သုံးမယ်ဆို ရင် 3D Accelerator ပါတဲ့h AGP (Accelerator Graphic Port) Graphic Card ကိုသုံးရမှာပါ/Graphic Card Memory တော့အနောက်ပိုင်း 2 GB ကနေ 24 GB ဆိုပြီး ထုတ်လုပ်သူများက Brand အစုံထုတ်ထားပါတယ်။ AGP Card တွေမှာ 2X ၊ 4X ၊ 8X ဆိုပြီးရှိတော့ M/B &JU Slot နဲ့ ကိုက်ညီဘို့လိုပါတယ်။ CMOS( Complementary Metallic Oxide Silicon ) Setting ကတော့ M/B ပေါ်မူတည်ပြီးအနည်းငယ် ကွဲပြားပေမယ့် အများအားဖြင့် တူညီအောင်ပြုလုပ်ထားပါတယ်။ BIOS များသောအားဖြင့် DEL နှိပ်ပြီးဝင်ရတယ်၊ အချို့ M/B တွေမှာတော့ Function Button ( F1, F2, F10) များကနေ ဝင်ရတယ်။ စက်မှာ BIOS System Setting ကို default ပြန်ထားချင်ရင် CMOS Clear လုပ်ပေးရတယ်။ အများအားဖြင့် CMOS CLS ဆိုပြီး Jummer ပါလေ့ရှိပြီး Short ပေးပြီးဖြုတ်ရတယ်။ မပါတဲ့ M/B ဆိုရင် Board Battery ကို ခေတ္တဖြုတ်လိုက်ရင် CMOS setting ပြုတ်သွားမှာဖြစ်တယ်။ ဒါမှ Board ကိုကိုင်လို့ရမှာဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ မိမိသုံးမယ့် လုပ်ငန်းပေါ်မူတည်ပြီး Motherboard ကိုရွေးချယ်သင့်တယ် ။

His Components:

  • A CPU socket(to put CPU)
  • A power connector to distribute power to the CPU and other components.
  • Slots for the system's main memory(RAM slots)
  • A chip forms an interface between the CPU, the main memory and other components. On many types of motherboards, this is referred to as the Northbridge. This chip also contains a large heat sink.
  • A second chip controls the input and output (I/O) functions. It is not connected directly to the CPU but to the Northbridge. This I/O controller is referred to as the Southbridge. The Northbridge and Southbridge combined are referred to as the chipset.
  • Several connectors, which provide the physical interface between input and output devices and the motherboard. The Southbridge handles these connections.
  • Slots for one or more hard drives to store files. The most common types of connections are Integrated Drive Electronics (IDE) and Serial Advanced Technology Attachment (SATA).
  • A read-only memory (ROM) chip, which contains the firmware, or startup instructions for the computer system. This is also called the BIOS.
  • A slot for a video or graphics card. There are a number of different types of slots, including the Accelerated Graphics Port (AGP) and Peripheral Component Interconnect Express (PCIe).
  • Additional slots to connect hardware in the form of Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI) slots.
